There is a reason Decatur is 1st on our List of Communities! We absolutely LOVE DECATUR and pride ourselves on being Decatur Experts!!! Mindy has lived in Decatur for over 40 years and Joseph was born and raised in Decatur. Our Decatur public schools continuously win national awards and have attracted families from across the country with the sole intention of raising their kids within Decatur’s record-breaking public school system – and we LOVE to see it!

Although one of Atlanta’s most famous neighborhoods, Decatur is actually a city within the city of Atlanta, full of unique charm and culture, and positioned perfectly close to everything Atlanta has to offer! Historic oaks line the streets for an easy walk to an ever-growing community with some of the best restaurants and bars in Atlanta while still affording the luxury of a spacious home and yard. Alongside its yearly award-winning public schools, Decatur is home to Agnes Scott College and just blocks away from Emory University’s main campus. Its community is known for its progressive culture spanning all ages, communities, and lifestyles. Enjoy Decatur’s famous festivals, such as the Decatur Lantern Parade, Decatur Arts Festival, Decatur Book Festival, Decatur Beer Festival and more, OR experience local entertainment and live music at world-famous venues like Eddie’s Attic year-round, all with the luxury of being able to easily retreat to your safe and quiet home.

To quote the Atlanta Journal Constitution in 2021;

“The City of Decatur can set another trophy atop its mantle and stick another stellar report card to its fridge. Once again . . . Decatur has topped a 454-community list as THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE in Georgia. Decatur has its solid schools, family atmosphere, and nightlife to thank for its high marks, earning Niche’s A+ rating in each category. And the city’s owner-strong housing market and population diversity didn’t hurt its score — A+ overall — either.”
